It’s Great News for Breast Cancer Research! Over $140,000 raised at the 16th annual Pink Palace Casino Night

Over 200 guests joined the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama for an elegant evening of gaming, dancing, food, and fun!

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA) is thrilled to announce that the 16th annual Pink Palace Casino Night raised over $140,000 to fund local, lifesaving research throughout the state. The event took place on Saturday, March 9th, at Soiree Event Gallery in Hoover and was attended by over 200 guests, many of whom are breast cancer survivors.

The night was filled with fun and excitement, as guests tried their luck at casino gaming, placed bids on nearly 80 silent auction items, and danced the night away to the band II DA MAXX. Pink Palace Casino Night is one of the BCRFA’s largest fundraisers, presented by the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB, Renasant Bank, and Tameron Honda and Hyundai. All proceeds from the event go to fund innovative breast cancer research at institutes from Huntsville to Mobile, including recent grant awards to Birmingham’s O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB, CerFlux, and Southern Research.

“The success of this year’s Pink Palace Casino Night is a testament to the generosity and support of our community,” said BCRFA Board Chair Brian Grainger. “The funds raised will go a long way in supporting early-stage breast cancer research and improving outcomes for those affected by this disease. We are grateful for everyone who contributed to this cause and for the hope that we can continue to make a difference together.”

“By investing in research and organizing fundraising events like the Pink Palace Casino Night, the BCRFA is working to accelerate scientific progress towards a cure for breast cancer.”

“Our efforts are crucial, as they provide hope for the 1 in 8 women and 1 in 833 men who will be diagnosed with this disease. Through our commitment and dedication, the BCRFA is making a real difference in the fight against breast cancer” said Beth Davis, President & CEO of the BCRFA.
