Riders Raise $13,000 at Revvin’ 4 Research

8TH ANNUAL REVVIN’ 4 RESEARCH RAISES $13,000 FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH

Birmingham, AL – Heart of Dixie Harley-Davidson hosted the 8th annual “Revvin’ 4 Research” Charity Motorcycle ride on Sunday, October 2, 2016.  The $13,000 in proceeds from the event will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA).

With the support of Heart of Dixie Harley-Davidson in Pelham, a host of generous sponsors, an incredible group of volunteers, the annual ride has raised more than $100,000 since the inaugural ride in 2009. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the ride benefit breast cancer research in Alabama.

Riders of this year’s event registered at Heart of Dixie Harley-Davidson. The charity event is a police-escorted ride, with a mid-ride stop at Riders Harley Davidson in Trussville, ending back at Heart of Dixie Harley-Davidson.  The after-party included live entertainment by the Sinners, a complimentary lunch by Courtyard Oyster Bar, beverages from Coca Cola Bottling Company.

Heart of Dixie Harley-Davidson and BCRFA together are making a strong contribution toward breast cancer research in Alabama. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama supports a comprehensive approach to battling breast cancer through support of collaborative and innovative research to help diagnose, treat, prevent and eradicate the disease. Since its inception in 1996, the BCRFA has raised over $5.8 million to fund research at the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center and with their collaborative partners.
