Businesses Across the State Join the BCRFA in the Fight

BUSINESSES ACROSS THE STATE JOIN THE BCRFA IN THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER – RAISING MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH IN ALABAMA DURING BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Birmingham, AL (September 27, 2019)—Businesses across Alabama will be going pink this October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA) is proud to be partnering with several local businesses on month-long initiatives on local and state-wide efforts to raise money to support the BCRFA and its mission to fund life-saving breast cancer research here in Alabama.

Tameron Automotive will continue its annual partnership with the BCRFA in October, which has raised an average of $25,000 annually for breast cancer research since the partnership began in 2009. For every new car sold this October, Tameron Honda and Tameron Hyundai in Hoover, AL will once again donate $100 to the BCRFA to help fund research.

Renasant Bank and Renasant Mortgage – Renasant Bank branches across the state will be accepting donations from its customers and their local community throughout the month, as well as coordinating fun community events to raise money for reserach. Additionally, Renasant Mortgage will also be donating $50 for every mortgage closed in October. In the Birmingham area, there will also be events designed to raise additional funds such as a Saturday Tailgate party at Good People Brewery and a Charity Night at La Paz resturaunt. Last year, Renasant Bank raised over $29,000 for breast cancer research and this year they are hoping to raise even more.

Wind Creek Wetumpka – Beginning October 1st guests of Wind Creek Wetumpka will once again be able to donate their change from their winnings to breast cancer research. In 2018, Wind Creek Wetumpka’s customers and employees raised $15,129  for the BCRFA. In addition to accepting donations from customer, Wind Creek Wetumpka employees may also purchase specialty shirts to help raise money and promote breast cancer research and awareness.

In addition to these long-standing partnerships, the BCRFA is excited to announce two new Breast Cancer Awareness Month partners this year.

Stokes Automotive – Stokes Automotive in Clanton, AL is stepping up to donate $100 in support of breast cancer research for every new car sold throughout October. Additionally, they will be sponsoring the Hole-in-One opportunity at the upcoming Calera Goes Pink Golf Tournament at Timberline Golf Club on October 20.

Arc Realty – Arc Realty is launching “Blue Goes Pink” this year, a new fundraising effort for the BCRFA. Each of the Arc Realty offices across the state will participate in the campaign to support Alabama breast cancer research. Throughout the month of Octber ARC Realty will donate $25 to the BCRFA for each new property listing that happens during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. People can also donate online or at local Arc Realty offices to support the campaign.
