BCRFA Gets Decked Out in Diamonds & Denim

BCRFA GETS DECKED OUT IN DIAMONDS & DENIM FOR 8TH ANNUAL CASINO NIGHT

The 8th Annual Pink Palace Casino was decked out in Diamonds & Denim on Saturday, April 16th at Iron City. Presented by Tameron Automotive, this fun-filled event benefitted the work of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA), raising over $40,000 for breast cancer research in Alabama.

The BCRFA takes a comprehensive approach to battling breast cancer through support of collaborative and innovative research to help diagnose, treat, prevent and eradicate the disease. All of the funds raised remain in Alabama, supporting local research, which in turn makes a national impact.

Guests enjoyed Vegas-style casino gaming featuring blackjack, poker, roulette, craps and slot machines. Winnings were cashed in for a shot at a variety of great prizes and guests placed their bets on high-rolling silent auction items. Over $3,000 was raised as guests took a chance to win a pair of beautiful diamond earrings and to stock their bar, compliments of Diamonds Direct, United Johnson Brothers of Alabama, and the Co-chairs of the evening. Co-chairs for the event are Anne-Michelle Barnett, Kim Comer, Jill Crawford, Diane Dudney, Kathy Emison, Amy Horrigan, Jody Joiner, Margaret Mitchell, Amy Stevens and Shaela Wise.

Tickets included $500 in “play money,” live entertainment and dancing by Goodfellas, select specialty beverages compliments of United Johnson Brothers, Coca Cola Bottling Company and ALABev. Iron City’s executive chefs prepared a delectable menu to make the evening even more memorable.
