8th Annual Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer 3-D Archery Tournament

8TH ANNUAL BOW-UP AGAINST BREAST CANCER 3-D ARCHERY TOURNAMENT HELPS KICK OFF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Birmingham, AL (June 19, 2019)— Nichols Outfitters is proud to present the 8th Annual Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer 3-D Archery Tournament to raise money for breast cancer research in Alabama. This year’s event, hosted by Heritage Archery Club and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA), will take place on October 5-6 at Cullman Archery Park (2312 County Road 490, Cullman, AL 35077). All proceeds from the two-day tournament will benefit the BCRFA.

Archer Classes include Fixed Pins Men’s & Women’s, Open Class Men’s & Women’s, and Youth (ages 15 and under) Boys & Girls. Registration is $25 for a single adult archer, $15 for a single youth archer, and $125 for a team registration (up to 5 archers). Archers can register online at Bow-Up.org. Registration will also be available at the event. In addition to shooting the range, participants will have a chance to win door prizes and bid on various silent auction items including two African Safari trips.

Over the course of the past 7 years Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer has raised over $167,000 to support the BCRFA, whose mission is to fund life-saving research here in Alabama. One in eight women, and one in 1,000 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer.

“By moving the date from the summer to October, we hope that the cooler weather and holding the event during Breast Cancer Awareness Month will lead to increased participation and money raised for research,” said Beth Davis, Executive Director of the BCRFA. “Additionally, archery season for deer opens on October 15 in Alabama. We hope that archers from across the state will come out and get ready for the season while also providing support for breast cancer research in Alabama.”

Event sponsors for the 2019 Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer 3-D Archery Tournament include: Nichols Outfitters, Mezrano Law Firm, Kirkpatrick Concrete, Ingle Demolition & Salvage, Moultrie, Sirote & Permutt, Coca-Cola, WBRC, and 102.5 The Bull.
