Cahaba Brewing Company and BCRFA Team Up for Spring CahabaQue Cook-Off

Longstanding partnership fuels life-saving research across Alabama

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA) and Cahaba Brewing Company are once again teaming up to host the annual CahabaQue BBQ Cook-Off on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Cahaba Brewing Company in Birmingham. The springtime tradition brings together local cook teams, craft beer lovers, and the Birmingham community for an afternoon of great food and friendly competition- all in support of local, lifesaving breast cancer research.

Since launching in 2013, through the collaboration between Cahaba Brewing Company and the BCRFA, CahabaQue has become a signature semiannual community event, generating a lifetime total of nearly $358,000 to fund innovative breast cancer research across the state. Every dollar raised stays in Alabama, supporting researchers and scientists working to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the disease.

“The partnership between our organization and Cahaba Brewing is more than just a community event—it’s a reflection of the collaborative spirit that drives research right here in our home state,” said Beth Davis, President & CEO of BCRFA. “It’s about nurturing Alabama’s brightest researchers and advancing vital breast cancer research—right here in our own community.”

The CahabaQue Cook-Off serves as a reminder of the longstanding partnership between Cahaba Brewing Company and the BCRFA, creating a meaningful way for the community to come together and make a direct impact on breast cancer research.

At this year’s event, guests can welcome the warmer weather with all-you-can-eat BBQ and sides from competing cook teams, live music, and a large selection of craft beer, craft cocktails, and the newly released craft soda, Peaches and Cream.

General Admission tickets for the event are $15 in advance for ages 11+. The price increases to $20 at the gate. Children 10 and under are free. VIP tickets are $50 and include early admission at 11:00 a.m., access to the air-conditioned Redmont Distilling Co. VIP Lounge, private restrooms, and two beers or drinks to enjoy throughout the day.
