BCRFA Announces New Partnership with Brenda’s Brown Bosom Buddies

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama is proud to announce a new partnership with Brenda’s Brown Bosom Buddies (BBBB), a a 501(c)(3) non-profit tailored directly to women of color, working to support, educate and provide early detection of breast cancer for minority, low income, and under-served women and men.

As of March 2021, supporters of BBBB will be able to support research by selecting the BCRFA as their charity of choice to fund breast cancer research.

To kick off this partnership in March 2021, the BBBB made a $2,500 donation to the BCRFA, in collaboration with Jefferson County Commissioner Sheila Tyson, as well as Links Chapter Presidents in the Greater Birmingham area. 

The group also announced the availability of 145 free mammograms for women of color, the underserved and those who are uninsured and/or not able to pay for a mammogram. To learn more, interested parties can call 205-588-0703 or email [email protected].
