Businesses and Supporters from New York to Mobile Host Events to benefit Breast Cancer Research in Alabama

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama is pleased to announce that support of breast cancer research reached from New York to Mobile as many businesses and community leaders hosted events for this important cause.
Please support those who support our mission to fund research in Alabama.
- Geoffrey Beene donated $10,000 to the BCRFA for breast cancer research as part of the "Geoffrey Beene Gives Back" program.
- The 3rd Annual Belk "Private Shopping Event" on October 12 raised nearly $10,000 from ticket sales for research in Alabama!!!!
- The 4th Annual "Celebration of Mothers and Daughters Concert" featuring Mae and Cally Robertson raised over $15,000 for breast cancer research
- Ray Williams, Starbucks in Alabaster and Sips 'n Strokes hosted an auction and koozie sale and raised nearly $1300.00 for breast cancer research.
- A surprise gathering was held in honor of Rosalind Griffin by her closest friends in October. In celebration of completion of 5 months of chemo treatments, her friends donated nearly $800 to benefit breast cancer research.
- The "Little Black Dress Goes Pink" event hosted by 103.7 the Q, Kathy G, along with sponsors, Mayfair Apartments and Hilton Perimeter Park raised nearly $1000 for breast cancer research.
- Hoover Soccer Club donated over $900 to benefit breast cancer research by taking donations and selling T-shirts during breast cancer awareness month. Justin Sexton, Director of Coaching planned the weekend of fundraising in October.
- The First National Bank of Talladega donated $1960 from their annual "Tickled Pink Day". Associates of the bank presented the check to the BCRFA and honored local breast cancer survivors.
- La Ti Da Salon in Jasper, AL, donated just over $1000 from the 2nd Annual "Clip for the Cure" event held on October, 23, 2008.
- The Jacksonville State University Rugby Team hosted the 1st Annual "Tough Enough for Rugby...Tough Enough for Pink" event to benefit breast cancer research on October 11, 2008.
